Hello WUSD Families, I want to express to everyone that I apologize that my decision today caused our families, students and staff stress during the 2 or so hours of a snow storm. For the most part, the forecast on the previous days and the information we receive has been mostly correct. Today that information did not play out the way it was forecast, to say the least, and certainly caught us by surprise. Please know that the safety of our students, staff, and families is always at the forefront of my and our decisions. I am thankful that the snow stopped, that it became warmer, and the rain came out to help melt some of the snow. We are expecting another flurry of snow in the early morning hours, so we will try again tomorrow. I can not thank you enough for your patience and understanding during these unusual, I am told, weather events for our area. I hope that all of you are safe. Please reach out to us if you need any assistance, Superintendent Beebe

Hello WUSD Families, We understand that the weather has shifted quite dramatically on us in the past few hours. The forecast calls for the snow to cease shortly and then for it to warm up the rest of the afternoon and possible and hopefully rain. We will evaluate the weather situation early this afternoon. We will be in communication if we make changes to our release schedule. Thank you, Superintendent Beebe

Hello WUSD Families, I wanted to reach out and humbly say Thank You for all of your patience and understanding as we navigate this weather and its impact on our district and our services. With that being said, we are expecting another very cold evening into the morning. Icy conditions are likely, so we will again evaluate the road conditions in the morning and send out all calls and text messages and post on Facebook as soon as possible. We attempt to make these decisions as early as possible for you so that you are able to plan accordingly. Thank you again and we appreciate your patience, Superintendent Beebe

Due to road conditions in Brooktrails, the buses will only be going to the golf course stop. The buses will wait at the stop until 9am. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Good Morning WUSD Families, I hope that many of you are safe and well. I have decided that all WUSD schools will be CLOSED today. Although the weather is better, there are multiple factors to consider as our area is so diverse. Some areas are safe to drive while others are not. Our buses will not be able to drive to certain parts of our district due to unsafe road conditions. Many of our areas have lost power and roads still have not been cleared. As I have been consistent regarding the safety of all of our families, students and staff, I want to ensure that I am consistent. We are still under a severe storm warning. Today is the last day of this storm, hopefully and we will be back in session tomorrow.

Good Evening WUSD families, I want to thank all of our families for your support, understanding, and flexibility during these past few days. The forecast is very similar for tonight and tomorrow morning. I want to give our families the ability to plan ahead a bit rather than receiving two separate messages in the morning. Tomorrow, Tuesday the 28th, we will begin the day on a two hour delay schedule. If road conditions are safe, we will send out our buses and hopefully come to school. Thank you, Superintendent Beebe
